The hlc is a seating made out of rolled cardboard triangles slotted together that enhances the feeling of lightness. The goal was to create a seating that’s relevant by addressing current issues such as ship-ability. sustainability and ergonomics, all this while using cardboard in an innovative way
I created a seating that celebrates cardboard by applying different techniques such as rolling, laminating and slotting
When encountering design challenges I solved them by coming up with innovative solutions
this made the final result much more powerful and successful
The chair is designed to provide comfort by having a 103 degree angle for back support and ergonomic space between the backrest and the seating. It is also sized so it is comfortable for everyone without being compromising its compact quality
The hlc is also easy to ship because of its easy-assemble quality. It contains 8 pieces: two side sheets and six rolled triangles
