A Sanctuary for middle eastern refugees who need help being incorporated into the community. The space welcomes interactions between refugees and locals by sharing their cultural cuisine.
Mashrabiya, a marriage of traditional Arabic design and urban modern form to provide a sanctuary that welcomes conversation between locals and refugees. Much like the pattern, the space is created using interconnected geometric angles with a center focus, discussion.
A Hub space to generate more casual and comfortable conversation between the New York locals and the Syrian refugees.
