Wave Path

The wave path is a sound installation located at Piers 62. It harnesses the sound of the wave from the Hudson River using its horn structure and redirecting the sounds to a common point.
The wave path located at the furthest area of the park allows it to capture most sound wave from the river, as well as receiving less distraction from the city noise.
The global structure of the wave path follows the form of a perfect parabola, similar to a parabolic reflector. It’s to make sure that all sound reflected to a common point.
Sound wave are captured through horn structure that overhangs down the piers. And sound waves are being reflected by the parabolic structure.
